The Iowa Chinese in Agriculture (ICIA), a non-profit and volunteer-based 501(c)3 organization, was established in 2006. ICIA members consist of professionals in research, education, production, and business in agriculture across Iowa. ICIA’s mission is to provide a platform to serve our local communities and to organize Chinese culture related events/activities to improve member’s after-work life (and at-work life). ICIA also to foster a favorable environment for attracting, retaining, and motivating world  class agricultural professionals to work in Iowa.

Become a member


Being a member of ICIA provides you with opportunities for both personal and professional growth. You will get to know Chinese professionals in agriculture, to share ideas and experiences, and to build professional alliance with them. You will participate in our member-only meetings and social activities


Become a donor/sponsor

ICIA has been approved to receive donor-directed contributions through United Way of Central Iowa. You should be able to make a tax-deductible donation to United Way of Central Iowa while specifying the receiving organization to be ICIA. If anyone or anyone you know would like to make donation to ICIA through united way, they can choose ICIA as organization receiver. ICIA (serving our members in our local communities) is a non-profit and volunteer-based 501(c)3 organization.  The primary missions of ICIA are to serve our communities and to organize relevant events/activities to promote Chinese culture.
If ICIA receives donations from United Way, the fund will be used only:
1.      to organize Chinese culture related events and activities, such as, Chinese New Year and Mid-Autumn Festival Celebrations. This fund will not be used to buy food and drinks. We also welcome non-members join
our activities
2.      to provide seminars of retirement fund management, health, next generation education, college savings, and Chinese culture to improve members’ life
3.      to create multicultural environments by providing workshops, events or activities to local communities with different ethnic backgrounds
